Smart surfing

Today I worked on Smart Surfing.
I learnt that you can use voice search to search on google.
I found it hard to finish the last slide quickly.
I found it easy to get the rest of the slides done quickly.
Next time I need to make my answers more specific.

Zoos should be banned (Slides)

I learnt that Zoos are like a prison to animals. Most animals don't like it there and they don't know what it's like in the wild because when they do get set free they usually get eaten alive.
I found it easy to work with my partner Perez because we both understand what we're doing.
I found it hard to put this story into my words.(summarising)
I really enjoyed learning about this type of how and why zoos should be banned.
Next time I need to make my answers more specific.

How a camera works-Questions

I learnt that a camera has over 1 million different shades of
colours. 
I found it easy to answer the first couple of questions quickly.
I found it hard to find the answers out of the book because it was a very big book. 
I really enjoyed reading this book because it was really interesting to find out how a camera works.
Next time I need to work on finishing this quicker.

Netiquette

We were learning about Netiquette. I learnt that netiquette is net and etiquette put together. 
I found it easy to find my cybersmart character quickly.
I found it hard to get this finished in 15 minuets.
I really enjoyed creating this piece of work.
Next time I need to improve on my do and don'ts.

Buddy work

We were learning to work with a buddy and use comments to work together.
I found it easy to come up with ideas of how to be a cybersmart learner.
I found it hard to come up with character.
I really enjoyed making the character and choosing the colours for my character.

Pluto-science

This slideshow is about the planet Pluto but did you know that Pluto isn't really a planet! I did this slideshow with my friends Perez and Mikayla. We chose to write about Pluto because we wanted to learn why it's not classified as a planet and because we wanted to learn more about it. The toughest challenge was try to and find a background that suits what we're researching about it. It took us a whole week to find one. It's not perfect but it's good enough.

Once upon a time there was a magical unicorn she lived in a colourful rainbow where unicorns bathed in rainbow pools. The magical unicorns talent is she can turn anything, any colour.the unicorns problem is she likes turning other unicorns different colours and they don’t like it. The unicorn felt sad when they told her to stop it. One day the unicorn found a bird and a squirrel who didn’t like the colour of their feathers and fur so they asked the unicorn to turn them into the colour they wanted to be and she did then they became best friends.

Smoking should be banned

Are you a social smoker? You may think that smoking is good for you,but i strongly believe that smoking should be banned because it can affect your heart, your lungs and it can become very additive. That is why i strongly believe that smoking should be banned.

Firstly, I strongly believe that smoking should be banned because it can affect  your heart.  Did you know that smoking can damage your heart?  Well it can, Smoking can affect your heart and it can give you heart disease. Smoking raises your blood pressure and puts stress on your heart. Your heart can weaken your heart making it less able to pump blood. Smoking affects your heart making it more aggressive to make you have heart attacks. smoking Cigarettes also contribute a lack of oxygen, making your work even harder. Would You like having a stressed heart?   

Secondly, i strongly believe that smoking should be banned because it can affect your lungs. How is smoking bad for your lungs you may be asking? Well smoking can make your stomach feel tight or cause you to wheeze or feel short of breath. Your lungs can be very badly affected by smoking. Smoking can cause inflammation in the small airways and tissues in your lungs. Smoking can also cause lung cancer, Smoking can also cause COPD Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease, this associates with lung cancer. Nearly 300,000 people die each year from COPD. Would you want to be affected lung cancer? 

Thirdly, smoking should be banned because it is very addictive.  How may smoking be very addictive? Nicotine from cigarettes is as addictive as heroin. Nicotine addiction is hard to beat because it changes your brain. The brain develops extra nicotine receptors to accommodate the large doses of nicotine from tobacco. When the brain stops getting the nicotine it’s used to, the result is nicotine withdrawal. You may feel anxious, irritable, and have strong cravings for nicotine. The chemicals inside cigarettes can cause a pounding headache and make you feel dehydrated. You also can’t help smoking because cigarettes includes nicotine which is very addictive. Nearly 30,000 people have died because of being too addicted to cigarettes. The chemical that make you so addicted is nicotine a highly addictive substance found naturally in cigarettes, Nicotine can also elevate your mood and your heart rate. Are you addicted to smoking?

In conclusion, I strongly believe that smoking should be banned because it can badly affect your brain, your lungs and it can become very addictive. So If you are a smoker stop now and quit because it’s never too late to quit.

Hi my name is Amelia. My favourite sport is netball. my hobbies are gymnastics, hockey, touch rugby/ Rippa rugby and art. I go to Te Hapara school. I am from Whangara. I live in Gisborne Tairawhiti. I have two siblings one brother and one sister. 

My favourite subject in learning is maths. I am also good at Maths. I'm challenging myself to learn about decimal numbers and to add them together. My learning goals for this year are to be a self directed leader and to get to stage 8 in maths by the end of this year. I also enjoy reading, Writing and crackerjacks kids. I am also looking forward to finding out what my learning is going to be like next year. I am looking forward to seeing what I have achieved with my learning this year.

Someone that has inspired me with my learning are my friends they have helped me achieve so much this year, And especially my teachers They have helped me and taught me a lot this year.
